 E-crew in memory


E-crew is a name which is created by our selves. E is taken from abbreviation of Eltekons and crew means members. This picture is recorded during 2006-2008. It has been generated to remember how this crew changed from time to time with new formation of members inside. Each generation has different style and characteristics based on our personality, but most of us are "very creative" more than normal person. It is a must in our case and it should be like that.

How all of us met? We met in an engineering consultant office in Surabaya, called Eltekons Enterprise. Most of us have a technical background of study from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS Surabaya). But in recent years, there are some people came from Social background study from Airlangga University.

Our relationship are based on respect each other, understand the character, and cooperation. Sometimes there are conflicts around us, but communication and sitting together to overcome the problems always becomes our choice in facing that situation. It is also very often we made some activities outside our office or even in the office. Even now we have separated with our choice and priority, we still keep contacts and communication. It's important to avoid lost.



A-1. The making process of video and photos (2008)


The reason why we make it, because one of our friends "Dewi" wanted to get married. We decided to give unforgettable present in her marriage. In the realisation of this process, we faced many problems to meet and take the recorders. Many creativity and idea have been given during the process. And the result is a packet of sweet and memorable present.


The location in taking the actions was in Bungkul Garden Surabaya, our favorite place to hang-out. The end outcomes were a big frame of our photos and a video CD.

The idea was each person must say 'personal message' to Dewi. The way and the format are free and based on each individual creativity. All of those actions were recorded in video and in camera.

A-2. Dewi's marriage (2008)



Dewi used traditional Java ceremony in her marriage (held a big frame photo). In this ceremony, most of us became "fence of bagus and ayu". In our Java tradition, the young man and girls who become fence should be single and haven't been married. The ayu fence wore "jarik and kebaya". The bagus fence wore "beskap and jarik".



B. New uniform of E-crew (2007)



The uniform was designed by our selves as general cloths for both types of sex, but still reveal the side of each personality. The idea was to have different performance and unique identity. That time was a day where we wore this uniform for the first time. The location of course in our lovely garden "Bungkul".




C. Vacation in Yogyakarta (2007)


Yogyakarta is famous as the center of Java culture and history tourism place. The beach, the mountain (nature), traditional palace, traditional market, the people, typical architectures, sacred places and legend have attracted us to visit this city.



This is our first vacation outside Surabaya city. We decided to make this vacation one day before. The idea came up after we found that we need vacation in the middle of our limit time, short vacation.

Many funny and silly things were happened with different reason. One of them is the limitation of financial and time to be spent. It was unplanned and unforgettable trips in exotic city during my life.






D-1. Bitrhday party of Agung and Intan (July 30th, 2007)




D-2. Birthday party of Lidya and Ogi (July 22nd, 2007)



The special characteristic of our group is always making creative presents for birthday or any party.

We made unique design and special features in packing. For example, print the face of the birthday person in Intan gift and our photos in the packing of Agung gift, etc.

We made plans to celebrate each birthday with different ways. Such as like in Intan and Agung birthday was in the garden with surprise of fireworks, some candles in the above of birthday cake. But in Lidya and Ogi's birthday party took place in restaurant with black or dark dress code. Lidya and Ogi should use the present we have given.








E. Action in Bungkul Garden Surabaya (April 26th, 2007)


This is the start point of our love to Bungkul garden. It was happened during the first month of new garden in our city "bungkul". The name Bungkul is taken from a name of a islamic religious actor (kyai) who have passed away "Kyai Bungkul".






This garden was designed as large open area with combination of a religious, high-technology, and traditional culinary tourism. There is a grave of Kyai Bungkul which is located in the center of the garden and become the center power of attraction of religious tourism. Many traditional food vendors (culinary), playing place for kinder, WiFi connection area (high-technology), modern design, etc become added value of this garden. It's a greatest free playing and hang-out area in Surabaya.

F. New year's party (December 31st, 2006)


This time, we made a barbecue party which held in Dewi's house. Old and new friends of ours came and joined us. In the end of 2006, we played trumpet and said 'Happy new year' each other.



New year party also popular in Surabaya. This party usually starts from 8 o'clock up to 12 o'clock in the night. In the last minutes of the end year at 12 o'clock, usually people come together in the center of city, make a parade, and play trumpet. It takes in around of "Pahlawan Monument" (in the city center). At that time, the city center is crowded by people and motor cycle parade. 






G. Pakuwon Swimming Pool Surabaya (June 16th, 2006)


This swimming pool is a part of "Independent city of Citra Raya". Citra Raya is developed by "Pakuwon group", a big private real estate in the west of Surabaya city. The design of the swimming pool gateway imitates the design of 1001 nights country (Aladdin story).

It was our first activities we made outside our office work time. In this year, 2006, I have just finished my bachelor study and joined this group. It was the beginning of our E-crew formed and developed. From that time, our friendship was began. Many little activities we made together in this first year have been a starting point of our solid team working. Up to end of this year, we had a good, better, and the best understanding about each characters of person and the way of working of each personality.
